Subject: Everson Visit #16

                                                        TF BUNDLE UPDATE

Tom Meighan and I visited Everson Electric Co. this morning to inspect the
TF bundle following its removal from the press mold.  The outside surface
of the cured bundle looked extremely good with no indications of dry areas.
Dimensional checks were made of the diameter every 2 feet along its
length.  All of the dimensions are below our maximum size of 7.924 inches
which is required to match with the OH coil and tension tube assembly.

Work will begin shortly on refurbishing the electrical joint areas of the
TF bundle.  Later this week work will also begin on restoring the Kapton
shields between the outer TF conductor electrical pads.

The tension tube is scheduled to be at Everson on Monday February 2, 1998
with winding of the OH coil to begin later that week.
